Bid & Proposal Engineer – Low Voltage Products,Lagos,ABB Nigeria

Purpose
As a Bids & Proposals engineer for Low Voltage products, you would be responsible for –
- Quotations preparation with cost effective solutions and time limitation in line with the sales process.
- To act as a link between the feeders factories and the customer to resolve any technical requests.
- Frequent follow up for the submitted quotations.
- Preparing the order registration documents based on the internal rules.
- To follow with the customer and the factory to ensure customer satisfaction regarding on time delivery and after sales support.
- Recording in system data base the different channels in the market and include a list of submitted quotations with percentage of wining and expected time.
- Collect information about all open opportunities and ask the advice of the system manager for the proper policy.
- Responsible with the LVS manager to achieve the system budget for 2014.
- Coordination with other departments to ensure the quality and the well-timed offers for packages.
- To monitor the strategy of our competitors and perform the related SWOT analysis from proposal point of view.
- To list the contractors and consultants with loyalty to certain brand in the market and to identify the root causes.
- To analyze the won and lost projects to learn lessons this will be the base for future similar quotations.
- Increase the awareness of the customers about ABB FTT solutions for System business and avoid conflict and competition with ABB panel builders.
- Report at least monthly to the superior and the local LP manager
- Where required, help outside the assigned segment as requested by management.
- Comprehend and follow the ABB procedures, instructions and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively horizontally & vertically within his organization.
- Understanding LP strategic direction and articulate it in a clear manner to different levels of Customers.
- Prepare the order documents for registration.
Qualification
Your Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Electronics with 1 to 3 years of experience will be an ideal fit.
Knowledge of Low Voltage Products is required.
Fluency in in both spoken & written English is a must & Additional Knowledge of French will be an advantage.
